Original artwork description:

This piece forms part of a series of abstract oil paintings made using homemade squeegees, minimal brushwork and with just three colours, blue, orange and magenta. As the title may suggest, I listened to a lot of Miles Davis's Kind of Blue when making the pieces. I love the delicate balance between chance and control that this technique allows for. I think the resulting piece provides a visual arena in which thoughts can develop and flit around, taking the viewer away from the day-to-day world.

The piece is painted using exceptional quality Old Holland and Winsor and Newton Artists' series oil paints and mediums with the highest ratings of permanence and light-fastness on a fine grain fully-archival canvas panel measuring 40cm by 40cm.

The painting will be packaged following best-practice guidelines and despatched by signed for and fully tracked courier. It is signed on the reverse and comes with a certificate of authenticity.

All paintings are unframed unless otherwise stated.

I endeavour to estimate shipping charges as accurately as possible. In the event of overcharging, I will refund the difference through Artfinder, and will bear the cost of any undercharging myself.

Outside of the UK and America there may be local duty / tax. If so, this is payable by the collector prior to delivery - the postal service/courier for your country will request payment if any is due. VAT on art imports is usually at a reduced rate compared with general VAT ratings.

Thank you for looking.
