Original artwork description:

I love blue hydrangeas and wanted to paint a blue and white composition using this vase so I used white peonies to go with the hydrangeas. Half-way through painting I felt there was a slight lack of texture so I added some pittosporum from my garden. I wanted to use a tall thin canvas (40x60cm) to echo the shape of the vase.
I have used Michael Harding oil paints and the canvas is linen. It is not currently framed but I can arrange framing if desired.

Materials used:

Oil on linen canvas
