Original artwork description:

I love blue hydrangeas and when I was a florist I often used to use them for Summer weddings. I painted these over a week, thankfully they last very well. Lots of concentration is required to paint them, however, as there is so much structure involved in each head. Ultimately they are very satisfying to paint, however. I have used Michael Harding oil paints on a linen canvas. It is currently unframed, however, I can arrange framing if desired.
