My Original inspiration for this painting is a reservoir high up in Dartmoor National Park in Devon.
After applying many layers of different paint colours, I decided to sand down everything and the reservoir disappeared. I had a feeling about frosty hills in winter with the sun casting its light on the landscape and the sensation of the cold, crispy, clean air of Dartmoor early in the morning.
