Watercolor painting “Blue Georgian Mountains. Mestia, Svaneti” was painted from life during my travel-plein air in Georgia in 2019.
The plot is depicted in the picturesque town of Mestia, which is the capital of Svaneti and is located at an altitude of 1500 meters above sea level.
Climbing the hill, I got such a stunning view of the blue mountains in the distance, Svan towers and trees in the foreground. I used an elongated horizontal format for this plot, which further emphasizes the endless beauty and grandeur of nature.
The work was painted by professional watercolors Maimeri Blu on 100% cotton watercolor paper 300 g/m2, which guarantees the durability of the preservation of the work under proper storage conditions, decorated under glass.
