Artwork description:

The Blue Dawn of early morning at Horgabost beach on the Isle of Harris in the far north of Scotland. This is beautiful sheltered place where water is a beautiful colour, the wild flowers bloom in the dunes and the air is clear. The soft sand has very few seashells tempting you to take off your shoes and paddle in the water. I love the silver patterns at the edge of the water, like little fish swimming in curves.
Edition of 10 only at 40 x 40 inches on canvas

About My Work
I believe in giving my clients beautiful artwork on luxury papers that hold their colours for a lifetime! For these special prints of my work I use dreamy, light textured Canson Canvas and the highest quality inks. I do all my own printing, having spent years learning this skill I prefer to maintain control of the colour representation at all stages to ensure you get a truly handmade image.

About My Materials
People often say that my images look like paintings because of the richness of the colours, the depth of the black and the texture of the materials I use. Canson are one of the oldest paper manufacturers in the world, they have been making paper for over 450 years in France. Founded in 1557 and printers to Louis XVI, their paper was used by Voltaire and Napoleon and the Montgolfier brothers used Canson paper to make the first hot air balloon. Canson paper was used by Picasso, Ingres, Chagal, Miro and many other artists. They have been making paper and canvas for photography since this art began over 150 years ago. Canson are Eco Friendly - they purchase paper pulp only from forests managed in a sustainable way which also makes them pretty special.

Other Sizes
This print is available in other sizes on canvas or paper. I am happy to take custom orders, just drop me a line.

A Note on Canvases
Canvases are unframed and unmounted, they need to be stretched or framed once you get them. Prepared with 1.5 inch white border unless requested otherwise. Once ready, they are carefully wrapped in acid free tissue then shipped in a sturdy art tube to ensure safe delivery. All taxes and duties to be paid by the receiver.
