Original artwork description:

This large-flowered clematis is growing against a stone wall. These flowers are so brightly coloured and blousy that they demand attention.
I used a palette knife for this painting and so the paint is thickly spread upon the wooden board.
The board can be hung as it is or put into a frame, though I have intentionally left a border unpainted to show off the beauty of the wood.
