Here is the street of the ancient Moroccan city of Chefchaouen. We know that almost all houses in the city are blue.
Everyone knows that people consider blue and turquoise colours in the Arab world to be unique colours that drive away evil spirits. Take a look at the picture, the door on the left in the foreground is of a turquoise colour.
But in this city, evil spirits were rampant in ancient times if residents decided that houses' best colour was blue. Or maybe they were just hilarious people who love the colour of the sea and the blue sky.
