Original artwork description:

Painted after Thomas Gainsboroughs gorgeous original. The Blue Boy is a masterpiece of brushwork which Gainsborough is most famous for. This is not a copy exactly but a painting I enjoyed no end because of my love of Gainsborough.

It was painted to gather more understanding on the painters technique using bold brush strokes to convey different subjects especially foliage and clothing.

The original is hanging in the Huntington Library.
