Chimpanzees attract me probably as they resemble us humans so closely. This chimp looks like a wise old man with his knowing stare and wrinkled face. I have painted him using a very wet brush, just pushing the paint around and letting color do its own thing. The swirls and blooms are the soul of this portrait ; the magic of watercolor which is impossible to achieve with any other medium. The artwork is unframed and ships in a postal box. It will be sent with a signed certificate of authenticity.
