Theses are the first trees to turn at the edge of our meadow - and the first to lose their leaves. I have no idea what kind of tree they are and I ignore them most of the year. But that burst of gold at the cusp of autumn makes me catch my breath each year. Every year, I try to capture these vertical trees with their golden leaves, knowing that I will get a chance next year.
