A detailed A4 study of the striking plumage of a blue and gold macaw.

Macaw drawn mainly in coloured pencil on smooth Bristol board paper with the addition of some white acrylic to add definition and highlights to the feathers. The suggestion of out of focus greenery in the background was created layering watercolour, acrylic ink and acrylic.

Sold mounted in a good quality ivory mount with backing board but not framed, the mount measures 28 X 35.8 cm/11 X 14 inches so will fit a standard framed.
