Original artwork description:

This is an original painting of blossoming trees in May in Georgian countryside in Tetritskharo, which is a village about an hour away from the capital city of Tbilisi. I have a summer house here, but would like to come often throughout the whole year for the plein air. The trees are changing constantly, and it fascinates me. The village is about 1300 meters above the sea level, and the spring comes late. I painted it in May, the new grass is everywhere, but the trees had just started blossoming. Due to the altitude, not so many fruit trees can grow there. The apples are the most popular, and they are the first to blossom. My garden is full of apple trees, and that time it was white-pink from the blossoms. While I was painting it, it seemed that I was floating in the white-pinkish cloud together with buzzing bees, and my head was spinning from all the fragrances. I hope the viewer can get the similar feeling. Painted on a gallery wrapped canvas with the edges painted white, it comes ready to hang and signed on the front with my initials in Georgian "Z" "Sh" (ზ.შ.).
