My latest artwork is called “Bloomkeeper,” and I’m so excited to share it with you! A vibrant toucan nestled among an array of lush peonies, and dahlias, on a deep, rich turquoise background. The flowers are vibrant and bold, complementing the toucan in colors of rich orange and yellow, while the toucan stands watchfully, like the guardian of this floral world. I used bold, detailed brushstrokes to really bring out the textures, from the smooth, glossy feathers of the toucan to the delicate petals of the flowers. The rich colors create a beautiful contrast, giving the whole piece a lively, yet serene energy. Inspired by the still life paintings of the Dutch Golden Age, I wanted to capture a timeless elegance, while adding a modern twist with the vibrant details. “Bloomkeeper” is ready to bring that captivating, peaceful energy into any space. It is ready to hang.
