After 3 years of living in an ecovillage in the heart of the province of Barcelona (Catalunya, Spain), floral elements have started to appear in van Steen's otherwise stylized and flat portraits.

These richly textured flowers bring an uplifting atmosphere and together with the more abstract motives show us how intrinsic life is interweaved. The flowing motives and deep colors reminds us of the art nouveau that is so present in the city and surroundings of Barcelona, where Gaudi is by far the most know artist.

This painting is signed on the front, and on the back you will find the title, the year of creation and a bigger signature.
A certificate of authenticity shall be emitted upon purchase.
