On the edge of light and darkness, of good and evil, of civilisation and wildness… This expressive oil painting is about the edge – the clear line that separates one form or state from another. What may seem as abstraction, is in fact very expressive figurative artwork. Please pay attention to the silhouette of a man sitting in the chair on the left side of the painting, in front of the very bright background. His figure organically merges into the darkness, which dominates most of the opposite (right) side of the artwork. On the edge between the two worlds, you will notice a vase with bright green flowers that aggressively invade the dark side, turning there into something similar to sparkles of a bright green fireworks…
