This is Blackfriars Bridge in London (before they extended the train station platforms onto the bridge) in the morning at low tide, a scene that many commuters must be familiar with. I had just seen an exhibition by Andrew Gifford which influenced the lighting and brushwork. Tate Modern can just be seen on the far right of the picture.
Oil on mdf board, gessoed on both sides.
