My cork series is a statement of my Portuguese origins. It's a coming back to nature, to raw, to minimalism, to simplicity...

This is a one of a kind painting, an absolutely spontaneous, vibrant and unique creation by Carla Sá Fernandes.

This high quality acrylic painting is done on natural cork fabric ("cork canvas") stretched on a wood frame, gallery wrapped, with no need for framing, as the edges are on cork. You will receive it "ready to hang", with a hook on the back. It is an exquisite work of art, due to the effect of the natural cork. Really one of a kind!

This painting is signed on the side and back and includes a Certificate of Authenticity.

About cork:

 It’s the bark of a tree (quercus suber, commonly called the cork oak)

 it’s a 100% natural raw material, that is 100% reusable and 100% recyclable, extracted from cork oaks without harming the normal development of the species and without damaging the tree. The extracted cork is 100% harnessed. 

 the production of cork does not destroy trees. After harvesting, the cork oak undergoes a process of self-regeneration not seen in any other species.

LIMITED EDITION PRINTS:

Artworks in a limited edition have a set number of prints available for each size offered.

Once all the prints of the edition size have sold out, there will be no other prints available in that size.

All limited edition prints are signed and numbered and are accompanied by a signed and numbered Certificate of Authenticity.

Limited edition prints of this artwork are offered on unstrectched canvas and will be shipped rolled in a tube.

The size is of the printed area. There's plenty of white edge left for framing. Simply take it to your local framer to have it mounted /stretched.
