My abstract paintings are inspired by jazz and classical music. Using line, tone and colour, I interpret rhythms, moods and textures to create my own account of the music. This particular piece was inspired by Stravinsky's 'Symphony of Psalms'. I wanted to give a sense of the strength of the piece as it progresses through a series of steps to its climax.
