This is a completely unique and original Preston M. Smith Pop Surrealist Self-Portrait painting on wood. It was just released from the artist's private collection and is the first in a series of black and white pieces with hints of vibrant color to accent certain aspects of the subject matter. They are a mixture of oil paint and ink on wood. It is a surrealistic artist self-portrait, dark and intriguing. This painting has a strong street/urban art feel to it and is mysterious, intriguing, defiant, meditative, contemplative, surrealistic and realistic. The figure/artist stares out at the viewer with angst and emotion as the background is divided by binary, colorful and black orbs, and some kind of parallel universe. It is a truly existential painting that leaves many questions unanswered. This large piece is priced to sell and is a great value to the collector. Invest in some PMS artwork today.
