A semi abstract contemporary Scottish mountain landscape painting of the Black Cuillin ridge on the Isle of Skye on the west coast highlands of Scotland.
In this atmospheric study of the rugged rocky ridge I have tried to portray the vast scale and misty wet weather of this barren and desolate area of the Scottish highlands, love by mountaineers and climbers.
Painted in an impressionistic semi abstract style in monochrome shades of bluish black, on a lightly textured canvas.

Painted with a palette knife and fingers, using quality artists acrylics on a small square format 8" x 8" (20 x 20cm) canvas, with a varnish finish and white hand painted wooden frame with cord ready to hang.
