Oiseau noir is a small sculpture that forms part of both the Ostréïdes series, which expresses the complexity of life in its search for the most appropriate form for survival, and the wisdom of the mind applied to the transformation of matter, and the CalbinoOz series, composed of creatures made from the wood of various natural gourds.

The tail is made from strips of natural dried plant material, the wings from coconut husks, and the head from surfine wood pulp.
