Original artwork description:

This painting literally started with the idea to cut up an old painting I had hanging around, and Collage my favorite bits into the composition of this new Piece. Inspired by that idea, I also cut up an old Colored Pencil Drawing, and incorporated parts of that too! I dug out my Caran d’ache Crayons that I typically use only for making drawings when traveling, and used those mixed in with my beloved Posca Acrylic pens! I incorporated torn bits of French Newspaper, as well as some Patterned Decorative paper. The Result reminds me of a collection of old Buttons, Fabric Scraps, and Costume Jewelry my Mother kept tucked in a beautifully painted metal box, when I was a child. ( Maybe this was the Muse in my head, as I worked on this piece?) The Canvas is painted around the edges so that the Painting can be hung unframed, if preferred…

Materials used:

Acrylic Paints, Oil Pastels, Newspaper, Decorative Papers, Acrylic Pens, Water Soluble Crayons, Caran d’ache Crayons, Canvas Pieces
