venus 3-10-22 is exploring ideas of fiction & reality and an interpretation of Botticelli's Venus. The piece is large-scale multiple figures on canvas in oils using a muted palette contrasting with areas of vibrant colour. The work is painted with a fluid application of paint, staining, and stripping back to allow areas of raw canvas to be visible. The work is a continuation in his interest in the notion of change and impermanence as forms begin to overlap and dissolve into each other.
The work is titled and signed on the back and also comes with a certificate of authenticity.
The work will be shipped by DHL, rolled in a strong tube and should arrive within 3-4 days after dispatch
