The seventh work in a series re-imagining the origin of the traditional Japanese gate to a Shinto shrine, TORII (鳥居).

On a summertime hill, thick with green, a TORII emerges.

Painted with acrylics on canvas. Using razor blades and brushes, a foundation of color is layered to a rich texture, then overlaid with intricate lines and geometric patterns resembling circuitry.
