Did you know that the sky is actually made of birds? Every colour is brought to us by birds. Here they are, my beautiful birds bringing you sunset.
I cut out the birds from lovely coloured glass tiles. Some have a gorgeous copper or gold fleck running through them, the whitest shades and some of the pinks are iridescent. Perfect to describe the changing light at sunset.
All are grouted in black grout so the surface is level. Set into a box frame which is set up like a floating frame. The mosaic is level with the surface of the frame.
