Point Lobos State Natural Reserve, about four miles south of Carmel on the Pacific Coast Highway, is my favorite place to set up my easel and paint on location. In this piece, I focused on capturing the feel of the place and the fleeting light. I was attracted to the colorful rocks reflections and the shadows in the archway.
Materials: Professional quality oil paint on Claessens Double Oil Primed 100% Professional grade Belgium Linen Mounted on 1/8" Sintra Panel. The painting is varnished, unframed, and ready to be framed in any standard 9"x12" picture frame.
