Artwork description:

This is a portrait of the famous jazz saxophonist, Charlie Parker (1929-1955). He is more commonly known as “Bird”. He was a leading force in American Jazz during the 1940’s and 1950’s. Wikipedia has an excellent bio of Bird’s interesting, tragic and short life.
BIRD is a limited edition of 20 enhanced Giclee (zee-clay) prints. It is created with digital computer art and printed on a high resolution printer. I refer to them as "enhanced" because I add paint directly to the completed print in order to highlight certain areas; therefore each edition is unique from the others. It is signed on the front and comes with a signed certificate of authenticity. I apply a clear protective finish to the final product so that it is not necessary (nor desirable) to put it behind glass.

This artwork will be ready to hang, out of the box. It will be mounted on one inch thick foamboard with a 1.5 inch border all around. It will have a hanging strip on the back and I include a “monkey hook” for easy attachment to your wall. It can be on your wall within five minutes.
