Painted on-site in the artist's neighborhood in Minneapolis. Features an autumn birch tree with lemon yellow, golden yellow and golden brown foliage. The branches of the tree sweep out in an unfurling of leaves. The tree is accented by green shrubs with a scattering of leaves turned orange, fallen leaves, and a soft blue sky with clouds. Dramatic shadows stretch across the lawn, and hints of red indicate more trees in the background.
Painted in oil over casein paint on canvas. The texture of the tree's foliage is enhanced with oil paint thickly applied by palette knife. This stretched canvas is unframed with painted sides. it is ready to hang and requires no frame, but may be framed if desired.
