Artwork description:

This is a mini sprint of Birch trees. A variable edition of different colours. This print is printed with special pearlescent ink, light grey and dark grey.
this mini print will only be available on Artfinder until 15th of December.

A reduction linocut is a totally handmade print. No machines are used. Only one piece of Lino is used throughout the process and so no prints can be reproduced.

I draw the image I want to create on the Lino, in reverse. Using carving tools I take away all the lightest parts which will be the colour of the paper, I then ink up the Lino with a colour and press this onto some thick printing paper. Anything I want to be that colour I carve away and ink up the next colour and so the process goes until the image appears.

This print went through this process 3 times, to achieve the final image.
Paper size is approx 16.2 x 20.2cm and the image size is 10.2 by 14.6 cm. This will fit a standard 6" x 4" photo frame.
