The title of this painting "Big Sur Sunrise Fantasia" reflects my inspiration for this piece.
Fantasia, also called fantasy or fancy, in music, is a composition free in form and inspiration. That's how I felt creating this painting of California Big Sur coastal scene.

Materials used to create this work:
Oil paint on Old Holland stretched linen.
Old Holland canvases are made exclusively from Claessens Linen, crafted from woven natural flax from Belgium. These canvases feature Claessens revered traditional oil priming, hand-stretched on professional quality European stretchers. They are back stapled to maintain clean edges for frameless gallery presentation.

This painting is unframed, wired in the back on the stretcher bars, and ready to be hung without a frame. Otherwise, you can always frame it, if that's your preferred style.

The painting surface is protected with a coat of Gamvar varnish.
