What is the traditional Big City? A place where people go from the peace and quiet of the province to “see people and show themselves”, a place where you can “break out into the people”, where they discover the world and “go out into the light”. The Big City is the seat of power, wealth, and opportunity. The big city is being “conquered”. This is a stadium, an arena where you can win everything and lose everything. A place to which dreams (of fame, wealth, and love) rush and where they often break. The Big City, according to the well-known proverb, “does not believe in tears”. The Big City is a pompous and cold facade, often hiding homelessness and emotional drama.

The painting was painted on Lanificio Prato art canvas made of 100% polyester. It is a very durable canvas that is resistant to temperature and humidity changes.
