Artwork description:

I am drawn to the nude as a symbol of vulnerability, and I am inspired by how the posture or stance of a body can offer information into the psyche of the person in the frame. The title of this print, 'Beyond the Surface' alludes both to patterned surface of the water which hides what lies beneath as well as to the inner world of the figure that is not fully revealed to the viewer.

As all prints are hand pressed, each will have some minor differences, which I believe adds to the character of the print. I cannot guarantee that you will receive the edition featured in the photo.

linoleum block, Caligo inks, Ho-Sho paper
