Original artwork description:

This painting scene of an old farmstead, is from my imagination. In this piece, I wanted to portray an old country farmstead on a quiet summers day. Although red poppies do not grow in fields in the American Heartland, they sometimes find their way into my original landscape scenes! I paint in a series of many layers, to create my original, country landscape paintings. The gallery wrapped, sides of this 1.4 inch deep, stretched canvas are have the painting continued around the sides, and this piece comes wired and ready to hang! The sides of the gallery wrap canvas are painted to match and the painting is wired and ready to hang, so no framing is necessary!

I hope that you will enjoy viewing my vision and glimpses of the quiet, old rural landscapes of the American heartland. Old farms, barns, cattle, sheep, meadows and big open skies, are often the inspiration for my art. I have been influenced by the old Barbizon, Tonalist, & Luminist painters for my original dreamscape, landscape paintings.

My work is in collections throughout the U.S. and abroad. I was happy to have had my art work shown in the "This Old House Magazine' and hung in their Cloudland Cottage show house in 2015. My paintings have been used as cover art on a classical CD by the "Wingra Quintet", and on several books: Praying with your Whole Heart, Three Ways of Loving God, and a lovely heritage cookbook by Cinagro Farms. An article about my original heartland landscape paintings was on the online Art Magazine "Empty Easel".

Materials used:
