Abstracted impressionist landscape painting. This painting was inspired by the huge skies and distant horizons of Exmoor National Park. I wanted to capture the experience of looking out over an Exmoor mire, with the drama of rain on the horizon. Painted in oil, largely with a palette knife, this atmospheric piece is full of glorious colours and textures.
