Between the Lines is an original artwork created with acrylic colours on canvas.

Time and again, we hear the phrase ‘read between the lines’, constantly searching for meaning in what people say and do. The subtleties of the spoken word and its multiple levels of meaning fascinate me. People’s intentions are often hidden and unspoken, confusion abounds and messages are missed sometimes unless we really dig. With this painting, I wanted to portray the beauty that lays between the words, the wonderful complexities of language, in the form of an array of beautiful coloured lines, each of them containing layers of colour and texture beyond the first impression. If only we just searched.

My point of view:
I think that there is never a right or wrong way to make art.
The most important thing is trying. Do not raise any barriers that prevent you from expressing yourself.
Just do it and make something.

Materials used:

Acrylic colour & mixed media on canvas. Finished with final varnish to protect it against sunlight and dust.
