"Between Heaven & Earth" is an original artwork created with acrylic colours on canvas.
The edge is painted in black and ready to be hung up.
It will be sent with a certificate of authenticity.
I tried to create a distinct visual divide between 'heaven and earth' with this painting. Some people imagine the heavens are high above us, others believe that 'heaven' is a much more elusive place that exists in an altogether more otherworldly space.
The heaven and earth in this painting could be either way round, depending on your viewpoint - the dark space being the heavens, the ethereal powdery blues and whites could be earth from space. Or could it be that the blackness is the void of the real world and the brightness beckoning in the top left is the hope of an afterlife? Whatever your view, there is something undoubtedly in the way in the form of the warm red, orange and yellow, which can be seen to seep into the darkness below.
My point of view:
I think that there is never a right or wrong way to make art.
The most important thing is trying. Do not raise any barriers that prevent you from expressing yourself.
Just do it and make something.
Please note that the background images are only used for display purposes and please consider the dimensions mentioned.
Acrylic colour & mixed media on canvas. Finished with final varnish to protect it against sunlight and dust.
