Original artwork description:

Sometimes I feel I should go back to the optometrist, just to double check that the last rather weak prescription she gave me worked. However, I know that this is simply wishful thinking, the glasses work fine and perhaps it is the prescription of others I should concern myself with.

Whether rose tinted or with a great fucking smudge on the lens, I'm not sure everyone is really seeing, they certainly are watching, Netflix, their phones, endless repeats of the same soundbite bullshit as it is shown again and again on the telly, endless repeats of the same soundbite bullshit as it is shown on the telly again and again, endless...

There is hope though, seeing can be relearnt, try it. The next time you queue for anything or are tapping away the minutes until boarding in an airport, just look up. It's not always pleasant, but it IS always interesting. Look for long enough and you'll feel your preconceived notions of the world fall away, they were never yours in the first place. You will never look back.
