'Beside The Seaside' a slightly larger sized original drawing is 300mm x 270mm in size. This gorgeously detailed hare sit patiently beside the seaside whilst his friend the bird sits happily upon the beautiful boat which sits happily on the swirly sea.
The drawing is done on hand stained paper which gives a subtle aged appearance like an old calico toy. 'Beside The Seaside' has been drawn in pencil and ink. Texture and detail has then been added with the skinniest of pen nibs which creates lots of detail to look at close up. I love to experiment with abstract shape and pattern within a drawing and my imagination meanders in a happy way as I draw using words to tell a small tale within the drawing....this piece has lots to look at in the pen drawn detail.
