This small watercolor continues a series of still lifes on a blue and white patterned background. Since I have these wonderful dishes with a kind of traditional English pattern, I have an endless source of inspiration. Any fruits, berries, and even flowers look just wonderful with this pattern. I really like the combination of red berries against the backdrop of fantasy flowers of the ornament. This time I did not frame the composition in the radius of the plate on which the fruit was placed, but left a white background space, apply a bit of decorative convention to the image.
