The ancient Egyptian legend of Bennu bird, the shinning creature, linked with the Sun, probably have been the original inspiration for the phoenix legends in Greek mythology. Bennu was a self-created being said to have played a role in the creation of the world. It was said to be the soul of Ra (the Sun) The bird was said to have flown over the waters of Nun that existed before creation and periodically renewed himself. Its name means "to rise in brilliance" or "to shine" and that related it with the legend of Fire-Bird too.
I love to paint phoenixes and fire-birds. I've made more than 30 compositions with that birds. But this one is the most sunny (because of the clear orange area) and I'm sure it will bring warm mood in the room.
