Part of my new series titled 'Perfectly Unbalanced'.

This painting, titled Beneath the Surface, is an evocative blend of warm earthy browns, rich reds, and delicate cream tones, with hints of turquoise and white. The piece flows with an organic, almost ethereal quality, as if capturing the shifting layers of emotion beneath the surface of one's consciousness. Portraying a sense of movement, perhaps the inner turmoil or moments of clarity breaking through chaos.

Like all the pieces in this series, following my ski accident, this was also painted using my non-dominant hand which took over completely. I'm proud of what it accomplished with less control and more intuition.

I chose colours that suggest a grounding feeling, yet suggesting vulnerability, introspection, and raw emotions. It offers both peacefulness and intensity, and if you're reflecting on your personal journey or growth, this piece is a balanced reminder that you are where you need to be right now.
