abstract, inspired by the different times of the day and changing tidal conditions around the coast of west Wales. This work (part of a continuing series) is based on the idea of mapping the coastline, or looking down as the sea returns to the high tide
Colour has always been a primary concern of mine and exploring ways of using colour in interpreting my observations into bold statement pieces is always exciting and rewarding. Of course they are somewhat dramatised but then they are abstracts, even though the root maybe in the landscape.
THE ARTWORK is framed in a white painted wood 'floating frame' leaving a shadow gap which suits this type of work very well, giving it a modern and contemporary style.
acrylic, pen, pencil, marker
