A view painted in one of my favourite places. I often paint at Belton House because it's an easy walk from home. The church and walls are made of beautiful, honey coloured stone which contrasts with the bank of deep red Bishop of Llandaff dahlias. I've tried to capture some of the vibrant colourfulness of late summer.
This is a mixed media work on primed paper and I have backed it with paper. I have used oils, pastel and crayon. My idea is that as an original, affordable artwork, it can be displayed unframed if wished, propped up on a shelf or mantlepiece like a treasured postcard.
The image measures 11.4cms x 7.3cms approx.
Including backing paper it measures 13cms x 8.5cms approx.
This painting comes in a cellophane bag.
