Beltane is the pagan name for the celebration on the 1st of May. Beltane welcomed in the summer and people decorated their homes, land and even their animals with spring flowers, especially yellow blooms. This painting is inspired by that idea of people collecting yellow flowers in a spring meadow. It is painted on artist’s canvas using high quality acrylic paint. It has been varnished to protect it from dust and UV rays. Its measurements are 122cm x 41cm x 1.5cm. It is very LARGE and would be ideal to hang above a bed or a sofa. The sides of the canvas have been painted white and it's ready to hang. I have signed it on the back.
