Original artwork description:

Bellarmine jug by Alan Harris British artist, paintings, oils, watercolours, pastel, mixed media and sculptures.
The capture of the time, the preservation of the past.
The central piece is the top part of a 18th century Bellarmine jug found in the river Thames London. This piece is surrounded by elements added to create a structure which role is to exalt and protect the integrity of this piece and preserved through the time as part of a new object created and value in its own as a work of art
I created these sculptures by using broken or otherwise discarded objects, to give them new or continued life by reworking them as works of art. using Kintsukuroi, to not only repair, but also to celebrate the initial damage with golden emphasis. My work was inspired by knowledge of this art, and a desire to preserve the past, like most of my figurative work.
This is a totally unique piece as every part is unique in its own but the viewer will see a new interpretation as part of a new object of art...
