A contemporary Scottish mountain landscape painting of Beinn Alligin in Torridon seen from across Loch Torridon. Painted in a semi abstract impressionist style in muted ochre and blue on a slightly textured canvas which gives it a soft textural look, intended to portray the atmosphere of a moody sombre damp day. Beinn Alligin is a Munro on the west coast highlands of Scotland surrounded by rugged mountains and moorlands. The weather in this area can often be damp and misty which is how I've tried to portray this little study of these hills.

Painted with a palette knife and fingers, using quality artists acrylics on a small square format 8" x 8" (20 x 20cm) canvas, with a varnish finish and white hand painted wooden frame with cord ready to hang.
