Original watercolor painting of a sunny valley in the Alps, inspired by my Tour du Mont Blanc.

In the summer of 2022, I did my first serious hike in the Alps. Tour du Mont Blanc is one of the world's most famous treks that circles the snowy Mont Blanc mountain and lies through France, Italy, and Switzerland.

The mountain landscape painting depicts a sunny valley we were passing through on our very first day of Tour du Mont Blanc. We did not know what was ahead of us! This valley was one of the relaxing parts of the trail right before a challenging ascent. I was drawn to the saturated green and yellow colors of this landscape which found their way into my art.

Tour du Mont Blanc was a healing experience for me because it was the first time I felt calm and at peace since the start of the war against Ukraine.
