Original artwork description:

I wanted to capture that feeling of late afternoon in winter as the light is fading and the sun is about to disappear. The trees are bare and the fields are ploughed. Soon this place will be cold, dark and rather inhospitable as a long winter night begins.. But the air is crisp and fresh, and there is hope of renewal both for the next day, and for the Spring.
