"Before" is part of my ongoing Body, Soul, Space series capturing my evolving emotional and psychological state through time and space.
In this piece, I hoped to capture the moment just before one begins to cry and evoke the pain and sadness experienced within those seconds leading up to emotional release. The color red is particularly vibrant here to implicate the intensity of the pain experienced.
